IRELAND: Dublin Days
Drove into Dublin early to drop off my rental car to save an extra day’s rent. I got checked in a little early at my hostel, and headed up for a nice nap. The weather outside was a bit nasty anyway so I wasn’t missing anything. Definitely just going to take it easy for the next couple of days. I spent the first day catching up on some movies in a nice theater, but decided to spend my last day in the beautiful Irish countryside on a Wild Rover Bus Tour since I no longer had my little car. The only problem with the buses is that I tend to fall asleep on them and miss out on some of the beautiful scenery. I’m just not that into the city right now.

REEFERT CHURCH
St. Kevin was the local religious fanatic who took to bathing naked in the lake in the middle of winter causing quite a stir and drawing crowds from the neighboring towns. As it turns out he was a handsome lad and was also quite charismatic so the religious elders wanted to exploit his popularity, but they couldn’t have him running about naked. He also loved animals and took to talking to them like a zealous Doctor Doolittle.
He wasn’t particularly comfortable with crowds of people so dealing with large congregations was unpleasant for him. He created smaller and more secluded churches to cope. He finally opted for the creation of a Monastery where he could get his message across in a more controlled environment.
