MEXICO: Mexico City – 1st. Time

After settling down for two and a half years in San Miguel, I find myself back on the road again. This time I’m visiting one of the world’s largest cities which is only a three and a half hour bus ride from my home town. Other than a few utilitarian trips to San Diego, I’ve spent my time within approximately 15 square miles in San Miguel mainly because daily life feels like a European vacation. Aside from its obvious Spanish roots it exudes a features of Italy and France. I enjoy big cities in limited doses of about two weeks. Given the amount of ground I’ve covered in Mexico and beyond it’s surprising that this is my first time in Mexico City.
