August 17, 2015Hardly any people can say they are impacting as many lives as you are.

August 17, 2015Actually you would be surprised at the quantity of people out there living the dream. As far as impacting lives, I’m not so sure. I meet people, share adventures and stories, shoot pictures, write in my blog, and encourage other to get out and expand their horizons. I really don’t do much to expand the readership, but that may change when I return to the States for the holidays.
I do enjoy sharing my adventures and misadventures, and responding to peoples comments. It’s a great way of life, and it has proved to be quite an education on a daily basis. They say time flies when you’re having fun, but I have found this year that I have packed so much living into the time I’ve spent that it seems like I have been traveling for years. I am trying to think of ways that I might actually impact the lives of others in a more profound way.

February 22, 2016Hello,Looking for an individual or coanpmy that can help me get through the red-tape of retiring in Lef3n or San Juan del Sur (maybe Granada).Would need help in finding apartment, visas, banking, etc. the whole nine yards. Might be bringing my two cats, too.Could come down in Feb/March to get things started and return, for good, May/June.Quite serious about this, looking for help and not getting ripped off. Thanks!PS: I’m toying with idea of driving down (from NEast) any sugestions?

February 22, 2016Nima,
I know a wonderful Nicaraguan tour guide who speaks perfect English, and knows the whole country like the back of his hand. Add to that the fact that he is a wonderful human being. His name is Peltier Barahona and you can reach him at +505 8868 5747. He can fill you in on the practicality of your plans. International Living offers books that can help you with some of the nuts and bolts. It is advisable to try things on for size for a time before permanently pulling up stakes. My advice is to visit a two or three areas, and see if anything feels right. Call Peltier. He will sort you out. He is on the Nicaragua thread of my blog. Give it a look see.

October 17, 2016Hey. Great site. Myself and my wife are planning on a move from Dublin to Berlin. I work in retail and do freelance writing from time to time but I am having difficulty lining up something consistent – I really want to write from home and have something lined up before we make the move. Do you know of any good working from home sites or freelance job recruiters?
I’d love to be able to travel and write in the future.

November 1, 2016Hi Shane,
A good place to start might be AWAI. They have a number of courses for everything from travel writing to copywriting.
