It Is Alive!!!

Hello all, and welcome to the first post on the inaugural evening of my travel blog. This is very exciting for me given the fact that only a few days ago I was functionally illiterate in the ways of website creation. But thanks to a nice referral from a seasoned blogger to purchase an internet training program called Travel Blog Success, the incredible patience of a few tech support people, a fantastic logo from a top-notch ex-wife, and a buddy with a knack for this sort of thing, I am now ready to push on, and hopefully have a fully functioning site before I step on a plane on New Years Day to begin my amazing, colossal adventure, and to regale you with many other such run-on sentences.

You will see many unrelated items on the site as it is still under construction. Frankly, I had doubts whether this was going to get put together at all since there is so little time until departure, and there are so many other preparations and parties to attend.

The site came alive this afternoon after I came out of the anesthesia from a colonoscopy. I had a nice lunch at Cafe Bleu, and my friend Tony came by my apartment and we got things ready to roll.

Hey, John — I love the way your site looks and functions. Is the online company that helped you set it up called Travelblogsuccess.com ?

    Hi Karen,
You spoke too soon I went and removed my logo by mistake, and have been trying to get it rectified for days. It does function well. The big trick is remembering all of the functions. Travelblogsuccess.com is the company my pal at expertvagabond.com recommended. He has been my greatest resource in preparing for this trip.
